About Manuel
Meet your coach.
Manuel Rosa. Personal trainer.

My story
I know where you’re starting from, because I’ve been there.
Nearly ten years ago, I walked into a gym for the first time. I wasn’t chasing a trophy or a six-pack. I wanted to lose weight and feel comfortable in my own body. Like a lot of people, I felt unsure of myself and I didn’t know where to begin.
Training started as a hobby and quickly became much more than that. The more I trained, the more I wanted to do it properly. I got into the details: good form, why each movement works, and the mindset it takes to keep going when progress is slow.
Before long, my friends were asking me for help. I’d correct their technique, talk them through their training and help them stay on track. Seeing them grow in confidence meant more to me than any progress I’d made myself. That’s when I knew I wanted to do this properly, so I became a personal trainer.
Since qualifying, I’ve worked with more than 50 clients from all walks of life. Some wanted to lose weight, some wanted to get stronger, and some just wanted to feel like themselves again. They’ve all become more confident, healthier and happier in their day-to-day lives. I’m proud to have been part of that.

How I coach
What my coaching is built on.
There’ll be days when you don’t feel like showing up. That’s normal. I’ll help you find your reasons, celebrate the small wins and keep you moving forward, even when life gets busy.
I won’t promise overnight results or sell you quick fixes. I’ll tell you what’s realistic, what’s working and what needs to change.
I’ll listen to you. Your schedule, your worries, your injuries, your preferences all shape how we train. You’ll always know what we’re doing and why, and you can always talk to me.

Where I started.
The before photo is where I started. I was at risk of obesity, and training changed my life. Along the way, I fell in love with bodybuilding.
Since then, I’ve learnt how training and nutrition really work, and the mental side that comes with them: discipline, patience and staying consistent when motivation drops. Everything I’ve learnt, I now use to help my clients.
There’s so much conflicting fitness advice that it’s easy to feel lost. My job is to show you what actually matters for your goals, so you can stop second-guessing and keep making progress.
Above all, I want to help you build habits you can keep long after our sessions end.

Frequently asked questions.
I have never really trained before. Is that a problem?
Not at all. I coach complete beginners as well as experienced lifters, and we start at your current level. You’ll learn a few key lifts properly, what each one is for and how a good rep should feel, before we add weight.
I feel nervous in the gym. Will I feel out of place?
A lot of people feel that way at first, and the first few weeks are about getting you comfortable. There are no silly questions, and I’ll always explain what we’re doing and why. One client used to feel nervous walking into the gym; twelve sessions later, she goes straight to the weights area.
How often do I need to train to see results?
Less than most people expect. Two or three sessions a week is enough to make good progress. I build the plan around the time you have, because a routine you can keep up gets better results than an ambitious one you keep missing.
What if I have an injury or something hurts?
Tell me before we start. I can’t diagnose or treat injuries, so if something hurts, please see a qualified healthcare professional first. Once you’re cleared to train, I’ll adapt the exercises and only add weight to a movement when it feels comfortable.
How do I know if you are the right coach for me?
Book a free consultation. You tell me your goals and what’s been getting in the way, I ask a few questions, and then I tell you honestly whether I can help and what I’d do first. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so.
